Police have received reports of males going door-to-door in the Lewis Road area claiming that roof tiles are loose and require urgent repair. These individuals may be attempting to trick residents into paying for unnecessary or poor-quality work.

Police strongly advise: never agree to work from doorstep callers.

Use a door chain or spy hole before opening the door.

Report suspicious activity immediately to police on 101, or 999 in an emergency.
